Account & Profile
Buddies is for men aged 18 and over who want to do things together — old friends, new connections, or a mix. The app is not a dating app and not for children. You must enter your birth year when signing up, and it's not possible to select an age under 18.
Download Buddies, select your region and tap "Get started". Sign in with Apple or Google, enter your birth year and confirm that you're male. Then fill in your profile. Done!
Buddies is built on trust. When everyone uses real names and photos, you know who you're meeting. No anonymous profiles, no fake identities.
Join private events: First name, last name, and birth year.
Create events or browse public events: Above plus profile picture, "About me", approximate location, and languages.
Settings → Account → Delete my account. All your data will be deleted without undue delay, no later than within 30 days.
Events
Private: Only those you share the link with can see and join. For you and your friends.
Public: Visible to all Buddies in the area. For meeting new people. (Coming soon!)
The group format makes Buddies safer and more fun. You never meet a stranger alone, and bad behavior is visible when more people are there.
No, all participants must have their own Buddies account. This is an important part of safety — so that everyone can report and block if needed.
The chat is deactivated 48 hours after the event ends. Messages are deleted after 90 days.
Safety
We've built in several safety features: minimum 4 participants, real profiles, report and block system, and age filters. But remember: Buddies is the platform — you own the responsibility for your meetups.
Choose a public place (café, bar, bowling alley). Tell someone where you're going. Trust your gut — if it feels wrong, leave. In case of emergency: call 112.
No. Buddies is the platform that makes organizing easy — but the event is the host's and participants' responsibility. Buddies is not present at events and cannot control what happens at physical meetups.
Cost
During Early Access, Buddies is completely free. When we leave Early Access, some features may have a cost — we will notify you in good time.

Three steps: Create. Share. Meet.
1. Create your profile
Sign up with Apple or Google. Fill in your first name, last name, and birth year. That's enough to join private events!
Want to create events or browse public events? You also need a photo, "About me", approximate location, and languages.
2. Find or create an event
Private events: Create the event and share the link in WhatsApp, Messenger — whatever you use. Those who can make it, join. The chat is already there, no new group to create. Perfect for "Poker Friday at my place" or "After work at Harry's".
Public events (coming soon 👀): Open to all Buddies in the area. Find new friends with similar interests.
3. Minimum 4 people — the core of Buddies
An event happens when at least 4 people have joined.
Safer: You never meet a stranger alone. More fun: More energy, better dynamics. Self-regulating: Bad behavior is visible when more people are there.
If not enough people join 2 hours before → it's automatically cancelled. No awkward "is it just the two of us?" situation.
4. The chat opens
When the event has enough participants, a group chat opens. Confirm details, ask what to bring, get to know each other. The chat is deactivated 48 hours after the event.
5. Meet! 👊
Show up. Have fun. Do it again.
Tips: Choose a public place. Tell someone where you're going. Trust your gut.
6. Copy and run again
Great event? Click "Copy" and run the same thing again. Everyone from last time can get an invite directly. One click and the next meetup is booked.
